Projected win total for Browns helps end over three decades worth of embarrassment

The offseason is rolling on for the NFL with rookie minicamp just wrapping up for the Cleveland Browns specifically.

Cleveland is entering what is a pivotal year for the franchise with it being year No. 3 for Deshaun Watson and coming off of a playoff appearance.

Expectations for the Browns are real with a roster that appears to be built for a playoff run. According to Mike Clay of ESPN, that is going to happen. Clay put together his NFL projections and the win total for the Browns is at 10.0, which was good for 8th in the NFL.

If Cleveland can finish with the No. 8 record in the NFL they would be reaching the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since 1989. That would be 35 years since Cleveland spent consecutive years playing in the postseason.

With it being year No. 5 for the current regimen under Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland has a well-put-together roster. They were able to get to the playoffs last year with five quarterbacks starting a game in the season. The hope is this season that the Browns don’t have to deal with those injury issues.

Cleveland has a very good defense that is competing level and will win them some ball games alone. But if the offense can reach full potential and Watson can put it all together, the Browns could compete for a Super Bowl.

Back-to-back playoff appearances and three with one coach is unheard of in Cleveland in recent memory. That is a streak that the Browns can end this coming season.
