Michigan Football Offers Big Ten Transfer Player

Michigan is apparently becoming more and more active in the transfer portal. The Wolverines have yet to have any player enter the portal, but Michigan offered two players in the past few days and on Monday, the Wolverines offered another.

Indiana Hoosiers former quarterback and wide receiver Donaven McCulley entered the transfer portal on November 28 and he's had some big programs like Penn State, NC State, South Carolina, and others offer him a scholarship.

The former Indiana receiver posted on X (Twitter) that the Wolverines offered him on Wednesday.

McCulley just wrapped up his junior season with the Hoosiers and second as a wide receiver. The 6-foot-5 playmaker came to Indiana in 2021 as a four-star quarterback recruit and played seven games -- starting four -- as a QB.

He switched to wide receiver after spring practice in 2022.

McCulley caught 16 passes for 169 yards and a score in '22, but he really made an impact this season in 2023. The junior led the Hoosiers catching 48 passes for 644 yards and six scores.

McCulley not only made an impact catching the ball, but he's a sound-blocking receiver. He led the Indiana receivers with a 63.8 run-blocking grade, per PFF. For comparison, Cornelius Johnson led Michigan this season with a 63.9 run-blocking grade.

McCulley told 247Sports that Michigan catches his eyes and he wants to get up to Ann Arbor soon.

With Michigan set to lose both Cornelius Johnson and Roman Wilson this season, the Wolverines could be in the market for at least one wide receiver in the transfer portal.
